Lobsta Killa….
There are a few people I want to be when I grown up…Betty White…Heidi Klum…and of course…Julia Childs…
I LUVED the movie Julie and Julia , becuase of the food element, true story factor and of course the blogging luv.
One of the best scenes in the movie is where Julie has to cook the live Lobsters…too funny…
This weekend I did the same…I cooked me up a Live Lobster…Yes I AM A LOBSTA KILLA…
I have been around live lobster before…My family is all from the East Coast, we luv our seafood. Yet I had never actually cooked one on my own…It was always my moms job to…well…end it for the poor lobsters…
So here is how to Boil a Live Lobster…

1. When the clerk at the Sea Food counter asks you if you want to “Pick One Out”, say NO…Less attachement issues that way.
2.Don’t make direct EYE contact with your dinner…I have always pretended my meals NEVER had a face…
3.Fill a large pot 3/4 full of salted water (use 1 tablespoon of salt for each quart of water). Bring water to a rolling boil.
4.Say goodbye and place the lobsters in the pot, making sure they’re completely submerged. Cover the pot QUICKLY as not to see them struggle…
This picture haunts me a little…
BOIL TIMES…
1 – 2 pound lobsters: approximately 18 minutes
2 pound or larger lobsters: 22 – 25 minutes
Then Voila..You have now just become a Lobsta Killa…..
To Steam Lobsters: Place 2 inches of salted water in a large pot (use 1 tablespoon of salt for each quart of water). Say goodbye and place lobsters in the pot quickly, and cover tightly. Same times as listed above.
Now this is the way I prefer to see my Lobster…much more appealing… here is a great post on how to Clean a Lobster…

Pair your lobster up with some steak, corn on the cob and fresh made salads for a FABOOSH dinner…
And for the Most Important part…WHAT TO DRINK...my Fave pairing with this is…Prosecco!!!
And the sign of Any Fab dinner party…a Messy Ass Kitchen…CHEERS

OMG this looks so good. As I was reading it my mouth was watering. Love me some good lobster and this is the best way to eat it. none of that fancy crap.
